Before we parted, I pulled out my old copy of Book 5 (I'd been designing a ship on the train in from Long Island), and I asked everyone there to sign it and passed out some memento d6's (nothing fancy - though my wife wondered why I'd brought them 450 miles from home). Here's the autographed title page:
The day had been a great one - finally getting to meet some of my esteemed fellow TML members in person and share their good company, excellent thoughts and fine wit. It was fun for all and we plan to do it again next year (though perhaps when it's warmer). There's so much to see and do in New York City, but I think we would all have had as good a time if we just stayed at Tír na nÓg, quaffed some fine ale and talked Traveller long into the night.
Thanks to all the guys for attending - to Fred and Brian for making time in their busy schedules, and to Bill for coming all the way from New Hampshire. A special thanks to Jeff Zeitlin for helping coordinate this, for rounding up us lost strays (me and Bill) at the train stations (and explaining to me how to use the MetroCard for the subway) and finding a great restaurant and leading us to the stores. I can't wait to do it again.
