From the Editor
TravellerCON/USA is once again upon us, and, as has been my practice for the past few years, the September/October issue of Freelance Traveller has the same (or a closely-related) theme as the convention. This year, Bwaps is the chosen theme; it is my thought that, as Traveller characters, this race is under-represented, and perhaps has more potential for adventuring than is realized.
With apologies, real life got a bit obstreperous, and so this issue was released quite a bit later than we would have liked. It’s not all bad, however; during the delay in publication, Timothy Collinson seems to have been shanghaied by a bunch of Bwaps, and lived among them for a few days, which resulted in plenty of material that fits the theme.
Because of the amount of real time that it takes to convert articles to HTML and paste them into the website, it’s likely that the November/December issue will also be delayed - but hopefully not as badly as this issue. It will contain After-Action reports for both my trip to TravellerCON/USA and Timothy Collinson’s trip to TravCon (UK); some additonal Bwap-related content that we didn’t include here simply to minimally mitigate this being a “Timothy Collinson” issue will also be included. Other content will depend on you, our readers - we want what you want to write, and if you don’t want to write, we can’t bring you the quality material we’ve been trying to for sixteen years now.
Once again, thank you to all our authors, past, present, and future, and the readers who have told us how much they enjoy the magazine.
